When we drove up the road to Adamel Wild Camp, our first thought was, ‘Wow, is there even a campsite in all this desolation? And what are we doing here?’ But at the end of a long gravel path, we saw a large barbecue with a (primitive) shower stall and incredibly beautiful views, and enough space for a two-person tent. The campsite lady was super friendly on the phone, and we were able to use wood for the donkey and the campfire. The night was so peaceful and quiet, and every now and then you could only hear the sound of a bird. If you appreciate the simplicity, wildness and beauty of the landscape, this is definitely a place you should visit for camping. 🥰

Great place, truly quiet. ✨ Not accessible with a ‘normal’ car. You need a SUV/jeep that’s not too low. The dirt road up to the campsite is quite rough. Super friendly owners that helped me find it in the dark, get a hot shower going with wood and I had an amazing fire under the stars.
Response from Adamel Wild CampThank you for choosing us as your first wild camp experience. Travel safe.
Beautiful spot if you are looking for a rustic spot with no one else around. Beautiful views from the koppie in between the farmland. Very new spots which I'm sure will get better with time. Hope to come back sometime. Thanks Adele!
